A downloadable game

Skyless Blind is a stylized cosmic horror game set in a shattered universe. Explore the atmospheric ruins of incomprehensibly ancient worlds, meet mysterious characters and eldritch entities, unearth reality-bending artifacts, and uncover the dark truth behind the weeping stars of a broken cosmos in this Yume Nikki-like RPGMaker horror game.

Skyless Blind is about exploration and mystery, first and foremost. Inspired by and expanding upon the design philosophy of the cult classic indie game Yume Nikki, Skyless is structured as a series of open worlds rich in secrets and oddities to discover, connected through a nexus of interweaving portals. As you travel across the galaxy you’ll encounter new portals to deeper and darker worlds, collectable items to unlock new abilities or customize your appearance, friendly characters and hostile creatures, and fragments of lore to piece together the expansive mythos of the universe.

Mysterious ancient homes of bygone civilizations are scattered throughout the Blind, calling to be reclaimed and refurnished with trophies and artifacts collected from your travels. Cryptic puzzles and arcane mechanisms lay still in desolate wastes, silently guarding forgotten knowledge of eons past. Hidden away in the furthest and darkest reaches of space lie secret worlds of untold horrors, awaiting only the most determined of explorers.

To the few who still survive among the starlit ruins, the collapse of cosmic civilization is remembered as the "God Calamity." In a single moment, countless planets and stars were torn asunder by fingers of an unseen force—fingers that still cradle the mangled fragments in the sky, frozen against the flow of gravity. The universe had shattered like a pane of glass, and something beyond a veil of darkness is preventing it from healing. What caused this calamity, and why does the universe refuse to heal? The truth is in fragments—but the pieces are all out there, waiting to be put back together. Search for answers among the broken stars. Piece together the hidden history of an unfathomably ancient universe. Take back the skies that once belonged to your precursors.

Follow the journey of the anaklyte across eons—a starry-eyed civilization of biomechanical aliens that refused submission to a malicious cosmos.  Learn of their struggle to persist and connect the stars within a dark forest universe, their discovery of hidden physics within the deepest layers of reality, their mysterious origins and their connection to an eldritch entity known as the God Machine.

Many strange characters wander the the remnants of their bygone civilizations, all with unique stories to tell. Meet a psychovian witch who leads you on a quest to retrieve a lost artifact from a four-dimensional fissure, befriend the surreal plant-like stellacyte who grows throughout the ruins of a circumstellar particle accelerator, debate ethical philosophy with the last god of the Hyphysicalist Constructancy, and more.

If you enjoy the beta, please consider supporting the creation of the full game on Kickstarter! This project means the world to me, and I'd be incredibly grateful for your support. I also plan to continue supporting the beta with consistent content updates, adding new worlds, features, and story, available to anyone who supports the kickstarter with the beta update access reward tier or above. I look forward to sharing the development journey of Skyless Blind with you all, I really think this will be a lot of fun.

I really liked the atmosphere and the soundtrack. The game reminds me of Hyper Light Drifter. I love the pixel art in this game. To be honest, I didn't understand anything about this game, maybe I'm just so stupid and I have problems with English. I think I'll keep playing.
